When The Ripa came in after Kathy Lee Sweatshop, I don't know if anyone really thought she'd get the job -- especially the non-soap-watching segment of the pop who were like Hayley Vaughn Santos Who What? -- but it made the most sense, she already lived in New York, and she was fun fun fun.

As much as I'd love Neil Patrick Harris to take the job, I just don't see it actually happening. Anderson Cooper? Could he do serious news-talk show by night, frilly fun daytime host by dawn?
