Please Put Your Makeup & Digital Retouching Back On!!

OK, enough already.

Kim Kardashian is in the new issue of Harper's Bazaar completely NAKED.

And by "completely NAKED", I mean, not only is she not wearing any clothes, but the photo is also "unretouched" <-- apparently the newest celeb buzz word for "keepin' it real".

Oooh, aah, that Kim Kardashian sure is a brave one. No clothes! That takes guts. WHAT? HELLO! Look at her smokin' bod! She doesn't need guts, she needs to stop wearing clothes all the time!

In Kim's words: “I think the message is embrace your curves and who you are. I feel proud if young girls look up to me and say, ‘I’m curvy, and I’m proud of it now.’”

While I really REALLY appreciate what celebs are doing, with this slew of "going bare"... It's their collective stance against the rampant self-image problem going on amongst society at large, especialy when it comes to makeup, appearance, and the notoriously relentless Photoshopping that goes on before we see our fave celebs preened to perfection...

Here's the thing... again, while I really appreciate it, please just go back to letting magazine editors cut & paste you to their heart's content.

Because frankly, seeing you sans makeup, sans false lashes, extensions, and the Blemish tool on Photoshop...

YOU ALL STILL LOOK FREAKING GOOD AND IT'S ACTUALLY MAKING ALL OF US REGULAR PEOPLE FEEL EVEN CRAPPIER!!

OK OK we get it -- you're still hot without makeup & airbrushing.

So, again. Thanks. But no thanks.

  2. seriously, I don't get it. I guess the gesture is appreciated but THE REST OF US don't have the good fortune to walk around without makeup (or clothes!) on! if only WE were all so lucky to have all our greatest moments airbrushed to perfection!

  3. Most of us wouldn't want to see the "average person" (ya know, the one without a personal trainer and chef and minus the plastic surgery) naked! I too appreciate the gesture but really, it would be more of a gesture if the celebrity actually had flaws and was a little more~less than perfect.

  4. I don't believe that this pic is really "unretouched" - Kim is known for having a lot of cellulite. Unless that is why this picture was taken from kinda far away?

But I totally understand your point Toni! I hate that diet pill commercial they are always running on E! with the Kardashians in it.. come on, those girls were never heavy to begin with..
