Best Cure For Hiccups?

It seems like everyone knows the "right" way to do something.

I'm gonna start a series of posts about on The "Right" Way to Do Stuff... and basically find out the way people prefer to do everyday things.... Like when you boil an egg, do you put the egg in the water first, or after the water has boiled? Or when you hand money to someone (like getting change at a store) -- do the bills go down first, or the change?

Basically, there is no true "right" answer, but it's those sorts of small things that some people actually have some strong feelings about, and I'd love to hear why your way is the "right" way.

Today's Round... BEST CURE FOR HICCUPS.

I don't have a "right" way, but I always try the following: holding my breathe; pinching my nose while I drink water; and eating a teaspoon of peanut butter.

I saw this list in a recent Reader's Digest : So which is it, RD? Spicy Foods, yes or no??

1) Suck on a wedge of lemon soaked in angostura bitters (??)
2) Hold your hands over your ears
3) Breathe into a paper bag
4) Guzzle a glass of warm water without stopping
5) Gargle with ice water
6) Eat a teaspoon of sugar, a tablespoon of peanut butter, or a spoonful of honey
7) Lay off the spicy food and the alcohol

OK... decent suggestions. BUT HERE'S THE FUNNY PART!

When I researching an online link for the above list, I came across something sorta similar on RD's website... and one of the suggestions was...

Do you SEE that? "Sip some hot sauce".

HUH?!

You confuse me, Reader's Digest!

So what are YOUR SUREFIRE GUARANTEED HICCUP CURES?
